Groundwater Week Field Trip: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Join your colleagues for a day exploring Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. We will start with a stop at the Visitor’s Center will time to visit the exhibits followed by a presentation from the naturalist team on the unique geology, desert ecology and human history of the area. We will then reboard the bus for a tour of the 13-mile scenic drive stopping at several overlooks. The naturalist will join us again at one of the trails for an interpretive hike highlighting the area’s geology and ecology. We will stop at a picnic area for a boxed lunch before returning to the Westgate Hotel.
Note: A waiver will be required to be signed by all tour participants before boarding the bus for the trip. The waiver will be emailed to all participants before the event.
Please Note: The field trip will occur rain or shine and includes a 60-minute easy hike.
